Cameroon Biodiversity Protection Program in Central Africa
The Cameroon Biodiversity Protection Program (CBPP) is dedicated to improving biodiversity conservation and protecting Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes ellioti) at Mbam & Djerem National Park (MDNP) in central Cameroon.
The program works with local researchers and communities through conservation, environmental education, and wildlife protection initiatives designed to strengthen local professional capacity and support long-term biodiversity conservation efforts in Cameroon.

CBPP also supports ecological research, conservation training, and community engagement activities that promote sustainable environmental practices and increase awareness about endangered species and habitat protection in Central Africa.
Through partnerships with conservation organizations, academic institutions, and local communities, CBPP aims to create long-term positive impacts for wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability in Cameroon. The program encourages knowledge sharing, scientific collaboration, and community participation to help protect biodiversity for future generations.
